Karaski Gets a Glowing First Preview from JustAdventure.com!

just-adventure-website

Karla Munger from JustAdventure.com has taken the time to preview our indie game and was left “quite impressed” after 3 (!) full playthroughs! Check out the full article; here are some highlight:

I did three full playthroughs of the preview build and each was surprisingly different. The narrative’s many variables, which can also impact the length of the game, give Karaski tremendous replay value.

You’re told that you’ll control the story and that your actions and choices will shape the past, present and future.

I wondered if it would be possible to weave this kind of narrative in a believable way. Well, I’m happy to report that Unbound Creations has done a masterful job of pulling it off.

… I predict that the final version of Karaski: What Goes Up… will be a wonderfully entertaining game that I won’t hesitate to recommend … Way to go, Unbound Creations!

Thanks Karla!

Postmortem reviewed by CD Action

A few key quotes (translated by yours truly):

I can’t remember many RPG games boasting about moral choices that would have as much to offer as this indie title.

I grew to like all the virtual people so much I sat and questioned them about silly details, hoping one would finally say something stupid enough to give me an excuse to claim them.

I think it’s the first time in my life I would want to see a DLC for an indie game

The main complaint is – understandably – the game’s brevity. But all the more motivation to make the next one :)

Thanks Kamil “Berlin”!

My Neighbor Totoro

My Neighbor Totoro; or, where is the second half of this movie?

I know I will get a lot of flak for this, but I just watched My Neighbor Totoro and honestly do not think it is a very good movie. Hayao Miyazaki excels at creating beautiful, rich and enthralling fantasy settings that beg exploration. He does not, however, excel at actually exploring them.
